Victorian Hoops and Bustles. All views are copies of extant period hoops and bustles. View A is a bell shaped
hoop skirt popular from 1856-1863 and 1869 and 1876. view B is an elliptic skirt 1863-1871. View C is a bustle,
hoop and train supporter 1869-1876, 1883-1889. View D and E bustles were worn during the second bustle period of
1883-1889. View F is a bustle pad worn throughout the Victorian and into the Edwardian periods. More information

Fabric: Cotton Broadcloth or Sateen. Notions: All Views- 2 yards
of 1 in wide grosgrain ribbon or twill tape. Optional-one 1 in wide safety buckle, hoop steel or hoop wire and wide single
fold bias tape lengths noted at right.  All Purpose  tin snips. View A: 4 plastic or metal ends, 6 connectors* for
steel. View B: 6 connectors* for steel. View C: 8 plastic or metal ends, 5 connectors*, (2) 54 in long laces, 36 grommets,
grommet setting tool, two 10 1/2 in long, 1/4 in wide bones, two 14 in long, 1/4 in wide bones. View D: 16 plastic
or metal ends, 2 laces 54 in long, 32 grommets, grommet setting tool, four 10 1/2 long, 1/4 in wide bones. View E: 8
plastic or metal ends, 1 lace 54 in long, two 10 1/2 in, 1/4 in wide bones. View F: Cotton or poly stuffing.
*Steel Connectors Steel connectors can be purchased or made with plastic tubing. More information in pattern
