Sleeve garters have been in use for hundreds of years with little change. In the old west they were often worn because once ready-made shirts became available to purchase they all had long sleeves…say 36″ long. With the sleeve garters anyone could wear them. People in many trades used sleeve garters to keep their shirt sleeves out of their way when doing their work. Bartenders and men at the gambling tables. Today we don’t see them much except on the brides leg to have the groom remove and toss to the next lucky bachelor. We make traditional ones and others from novelty fabric to make a statement. Enjoy them.
