Half-Button Front Dress This dress features princess lines for a great fit. It buttons about half way down the front and is collarless. Tapered sleeves end in little cuffs. The skirt is full and has a fairly deep bottom ruffle. It is lovely in small prints or solids. There is a tie back for fitting adjustment. Girls Prairie Dress This dress features a round collar with a buttoned yoke front and armhole ruffles, which are optional on the dress. Bottom ruffle (not shown on this view) is optional on the dress. Dress can be worn with or without the pinafore below. Choose from our great cotton fabrics. Calico prints, and solids are recommended. Use pull-down menu on order page to add optional bottom ruffle. |

This pinafore (back view) is made to wear over the prairie dress above. It looks good in solid cotton or muslin. Choose straight hemline or ruffled hem using the pull-down menu on the order page.

Bell Sleeved Dress

Emily's Dress This dress would have been worn by a wealthier girl. It features a two tiered full skirt. The bodice drops to a v in the center front. A generous round collar enhances the neckline. Like many of the ladies sleeves of the time, these feature an under-sleeve with a button cuff. Over-sleeves are detailed like the rest of the dress, with braid trim and lace ruffle. Center front buttons. Camisole, pantaloons and petticoat was worn underneath.

Children's Frontier Shirt

This cloth shirt was standard apparel in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. It was roomy and comfortable for work and play and this practical design endured, long after fashion dictated change. Our early period drop sleeve shirt features a lace up front neck opening or self fabric tie strings at the neck and antler buttons at the cuffs. Use pull-down menu to select size, and either ties or lace-up version. |
