Mackinaw Blanket Coat

Description

Our Mackinaw coat is made with a Woolrich gray and black striped wool blend blanket. This kind was used in the Civil War and more. Size XXl requires a second blanket portion to make so the price is higher.

We use real buffalo horn buttons that really make this coat a must to have. The upper chest area is actually doubled as shown in the pictures to give more core warmth.

Photos show the front and back.Note that the upper coat body has a double layer of fabric attached everywhere but the bottom edges. There are 2 hidden slash pockets that are covered by large pocket flaps. The coat is double breasted for extra chest front warmth in addition to the 2 layers of upper body. Sleeves in the photos are turned up, but can be hemmed to the sleeve length you give us if you prefer that finish. IF you want sleeves hemmed please give the finished hem length you desire from the top of the shoulder where sleeves join the coat body to the bottom edge of the hemmed sleeve in the PRODUCT NOTE box.

This is front the last roll of blankets that we were able to obtain before Woolrich quit making and selling fabrics. So sad that happened.
