Description
The originals of these caps- all in museum collections- were made of sturdy, medium-weight cap linen. Two of them are very plain and the other two are quite basic, though you will find that View D has a very unusual feature. They were always made in white.
Please do read all the instructions carefully before you even cut your fabric. The courser the fabric you choose the more appropriate for a less well off working class woman. Sewing them completely by hand is most authentic, but if you sew the parts by machine that do not show and the parts that can be seen by hand that is your second best plan.
